Governor Greg Abbott Meets with Cuban DeputiesHAVANA, Cuba, Dec 3 (acn) The governor of the U.S. state of Texas, Greg Abbott, accompanied by a business delegation from his country, met on Wednesday in Havana with Deputy Jose Luis Toledo, president of the Permanent Committee for Constitutional and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly of the People's Power (ANPP).

During the meeting, Toledo explained the Cuban electoral system to Abbot, as well as the experiment carried out in the provinces of Artemisa and Mayabeque, which among other objectives is aimed at separating in the remaining provinces, for a better performance of government, the management of the administration councils and those of the provincial and municipal assemblies of the People's Power, positions so far occupied by the same person.
The Republican governor was interested in primary health care and education.

Cuba was also represented at the meeting by deputies Dayana Fundora and Antonio Hernandez, and by Pedro Pozo, international relations official of the ANPP.
