The Vice-president of the Cuban Council of Ministers, Ricardo Cabrisas, received the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, who is on a working visit to the island since Monday, November 30.
During the meeting, held on Wednesday, they spoke about Cuba's foreign economic relations, the interests in Cuba of the Texas business sector, business opportunities for trade and investment in Cuba, and the obstacles to bilateral trade resulting from the implementation of the blockade.
Accompanying Governor Abbott were other members of his delegation.
Cuba was also represented at the meeting by Gustavo Machin, deputy director general of the United States Office of the Foreign Ministry, and other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment.
