HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 28 (acn) We want to develop cooperation on issues of common interest, said in Havana on Friday Luis Rojas, Pro Secretary of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile, during a meeting with deputy Ana Maria Mari Machado, vice-president of the National Assembly of the People's Power. Rojas is part of a Chilean delegation currently visiting the Caribbean island, headed by Deputy Aldo Cornejo, of the Christian Democratic Party, and also composed of Juan Andres Lagos, general secretary of the Communist Party of that country, and Gabriel Gaspar, former Chilean ambassador to Cuba.
Cornejo insisted that the agreement between the Chamber of Deputies of Chile and the National Assembly of the People's Power of Cuba is not aimed at strengthening only legislative relations but also strengthen political relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, Ana Maria Mari said the important thing is to work on what unites them as Latin American nations, beyond the differences that may exist, because in that way cooperation will be more satisfactory.
