Raul Meets with President of the Chilean Progressive Party

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 12 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, met on Wednesday afternoon with Marco Enriquez-Ominami and Pedro Abarca, president and general secretary of the Chilean Progressive Party, respectively, who are on a visit to Cuba.

During the meeting, they spoke about the positive ties existing between the two nations, the current situation of the region, the progress of Latin American and Caribbean integration, and other topics on the international agenda, the Granma newspaper reported.
Also representing Cuba at the meeting were the members of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party (CC of the PCC) Miguel Diaz-Canel and Bruno Rodriguez, First Vice-president of the councils of State and Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, respectively, and the member of the Secretariat of the CC of the PCC and head of its Department of International Relations, Jose Ramon Balaguer.
