HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 21 (acn) The vice president of the Cuban Council of Ministers, Ricardo Cabrisas, continued on Wednesday his working visit to Russia, focusing on promoting the signing of new bilateral agreements in the energy, metallurgical and pharmaceutical areas, Prensa Latina reported.
Cabrisas has been holding since Monday several meetings with Russian authorities and representatives of the economic and business sectors involved in the realization of the agreements sealed between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Raul Castro in 20014 and in the contacts established so far this year.
On Thursday, he will meet with the head of the Federation Council (Senate), Valentina Matvienko, and will be received by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitri Rogozin, co-chair of the Joint Committee.
It is expected that during the day several agreements on energy cooperation, metallurgical and pharmaceutical industries will be signed.
Cabrisas held on Wednesday a meeting with the president of the automotive business group KAMAZ, Sergei Kogoguin, and with the First Vice-president of the Foreign Bank of Russia, Pyotr Fradkov, according to Prensa Latina.
He also exchanged views with the head of the Insurance Agency for Export Credit, Alexei Tiupanov, a key moment in negotiations to boost the implementation of joint projects.
