In Cuba PM of Slovakia

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 8 (acn) The Prime Minister (PM) of the Slovak Republic, Robert Fico, arrived in Cuba in the evening hours on Wednesday for an official visit.

The Granma newspaper reported on Thursday that Fico was received by Ana Teresita Gonzalez, Deputy Foreign Minister, and by members of the diplomatic corps. This is the first visit of a Slovak Prime Minister to Cuba.
As part of his program, he will hold official talks with Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers. During his visit, he will also honor Apostle Jose Marti at the Memorial named after him and will carry out other activities.
The visit of the Slovak Prime Minister is an opportunity to exchange views on the current state and prospects of bilateral relations.
Cuba and Slovakia established diplomatic relations on January 1st, 1993. Currently, the two countries maintain positive bilateral ties.
