President of Vietnam Describes Visit to Cuba as FruitfulHAVANA, Cuba, Sep 30 (acn) Truong Tan Sang, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, described on Wednesday his visit to Cuba as fruitful, minutes before returning to his homeland.

At the Jose Marti International Airport, Rogelio Sierra, Deputy Foreign Minister, said goodbye to the Vietnamese president, who said he was proud of the historic friendship between the two nations.
He stressed that in this troubled world, relations between Vietnam and Cuba are exemplary, "as expressed by the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro."
"Before returning to my country, I wish to convey my best wishes and congratulations to the Cuban people for the successes achieved, and my support in the continuation of the updating of its economic model," he pointed out.
Truong Tan Sang praised Cuba's achievements in foreign policy, and stated that the elimination of the unjust economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the island would allow for a greater development of the Caribbean nation.
He also commented that he attended a bilateral business forum on Wednesday morning, where he witnessed the signing of several trade agreements.
Cuba and Vietnam should continue developing and intensifying their economic relations, with a view to strengthen in the construction of Socialism, he told reporters.
The distinguished visitor arrived in Cuba on September 28, and was presented with the Jose Marti Order, the highest award given by the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba. He also held official talks with Army General Raul Castro, President of the Councils of State and Ministers.
