New York, Sept 26 (acn) The presidents of Cuba, Raul Castro, and of China, Xi Jinping held and informal meeting in New York during the Summit on the 2015-2030Sustainable Development Goals.
According to sources with the Cuban delegation, the Chinese head of state and the Cuban president met after they made their statements at the plenary session of the UN General Assembly on Saturday.
Havana and Beijing share very closed political and economic links, backed by a half-a-century-old relationship.
The Cuban president is currently meeting a tight agenda in New York since he arrived in this US city last Thursday.
