HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 26 (acn) Cuban President Raul Castro will deliver a speech today at the UN Sustainable Development Summit that is in its second day in New York City, reported Prensa latina news agency.
According to the list of speakers announced in the United Nations, the Cuban president will speak around 10 AM on the meeting that approved yesterday a post-2015 agenda, an instrument that is focused on fighting extreme poverty, on boosting social inclusion and the protection of the environment.
Raul is in the US city since Thursday, where he has met high US, UN and international officials, as well as several Heads of State.
On Friday, the Cuban leader attended the UN General Assembly plenary to listen to Pope Francis and held talks with the Mozambique and Venezuelan Presidents.
