Diaz-Canel Meets with Secretary of State of the Holy See

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 20 (acn) The First Vice-president of the councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel, received Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See.

During the meeting, held on Sunday afternoon, Diaz-Canel and the distinguished visitor spoke about the development of the good relations existing between Cuba and the Holy See.
Likewise, they tackled other topics of international interest.
Accompanying Cardinal Parolin were Monsignor Angelo Becciu, substitute of the Secretariat of State; Monsignor Paul R. Gallagher, secretary for Relations with States; and Monsignor Giorgio Lingua, apostolic nuncio.
Cuba was also represented at the meeting by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and the island's ambassador to the Holy See, Rodney Lopez.
