Cuba-US Bilateral Commission to Meet in Havana on FridayHAVANA, Cuba, Sep 8 (acn) The first meeting of the Cuba-U.S.A Bilateral Commission will be held in this capital on Friday, September 11, the creation of which was announced by the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez, and the U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, during the visit of the latter to Havana on August 14, the Foreign Ministry informed.

In this meeting, the delegations of the two countries, which will be headed by the director general of the United States office of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Josefina Vidal, and the Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. State Department's Bureau for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Edward Alex Lee, will define the agenda of topics to be addressed in the stage that started following the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States.
The Bilateral Commission will discuss about the new areas of cooperation that are beneficial to both countries; will focus on bilateral and multilateral issues, including those in which there are different conceptions; and on unresolved issues between Cuba and the United States.
