Secretary Kerry inaugurates US embassy in HavanaHAVANA, Cuba, Aug 14 (acn) the relations between Cuba and the United States are going through a historical moment after US Secretary of State John Kerry officially inaugurated this morning his country´s embassy in Havana.

At the beginning of the flag-raising ceremony, the Cuban national anthem was played with the embassy´s limits for the first time in over 50 years.

He added that this is a moment of rapprochement between two countries that are no longer enemies or rivals but neighbors

The US delegation to the ceremony included several top officials from the US government, and as an special feature the three Marines that were in charge of lowering the US banner from the pole in front of the embassy 54 years ago.

On the Cuban part was Josefina Vidal, chief of the US Department at the Cuban Foreign Ministry
