Cabrisas Receives Visiting Swiss Chancellor

HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 14 (acn) Ricardo Cabrisas, Vice-president of the Council of Ministers, received Federal Councillor Didier Burkhalter, head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, who is on an official visit to Cuba.
During the meeting, held on Thursday afternoon, Cabrisas and Burkhalter spoke about the good state of bilateral relations and coincided in their willingness to expand economic-commercial exchanges and cooperation bonds to other areas of common interest, such as tourism, energy, biotechnology, agribusiness and culture. They also tackled various issues on the regional and international agendas.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Philippe Guex, Assistant Secretary of State and Head of the Americas Division of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, and by Anne-Pascale Krauer Müller, Ambassador in Cuba. Also present at the meeting, for Cuba, was Elio Rodriguez, director of the Department of Europe and Canada of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
