HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 12 (acn) Bolivian President Evo Morales arrived on Wednesday night in this capital to celebrate on Thursday the 89th birthday of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
He congratulated Fidel, the government and people of Cuba on this significant date, in which "we come to celebrate our older brother's birthday," he told local media minutes after his arrival in Havana.
Evo reiterated his admiration for Fidel and how much he has have learned from his teachings from his trade union struggles, then as deputy, and finally in his capacity as president of the Pluri-national State of Bolivia.
Accompanied by Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca, the head of state was received at the José Martí International Airport by Ana Teresita Gonzalez, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Palmiro Soria, Bolivia's ambassador in Cuba.
