HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 16 (acn) The prize winner wrestler Mijail Lopez will seek his fourth title in Pan American Games when competing today as favorite to increase the golden loot of the Cuban delegation.
Champion in the editions of Santo Domingo 2003, Rio de Janeiro 2007 and Guadalajara 2011, Lopez will compete today in the 130 kilos division of Greco-Roman wrestling to add another laurel to his extensive resume, which includes two Olympic and five world crowns.
The other Cuban wrestlers who fight today are Yasmany Lugo (98 kilos) in the men's freestyle, and the women Yamilka del Valle (53), Yusney Guzman (48) and Yakelin Estornell (58).
The other great hope for Cuba today will be at the track cycling, with the dispute of medals in the women's team sprint event through the pair made up by Lisandra Guerra and Marlies Mejías.
In the men's individual archery event, Cubans Adrian Puentes, Juan Carlos Stevens and Hugo Franco will try to qualify to the knockout phase.
