Cuban VP Cabrisas visits Angola

Cuban VP Cabrisas visits AngolaHAVANA, Cuba, Jul 13 (acn) The Vice-President of the Cuban Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas starts today a four day visit to Angola in order to strengthen bilateral relations.

A press release by the Angolan Foreign Ministry says that Cabrisas will have a working meeting with FM Georges Chicoty and will be received by Vice-President Manuel Vicente on Thursday

The Cuban official will also meet with representatives of the Construction, Health, Finances, Transportation, Energy and Water and Defense ministries, along several top officials of that African nation.

The release notes that Cuba and Angola established diplomatic relations on November 15, 1975, and a year later they signed the General Agreement of Cooperation, which was the base for the creation of the Bilateral Commission

In 2014, the two governments signed a memorandum of understanding to build in Cuba two international airports in three years.
Over 4000 Cuban people work in Angola, including 1,800 doctors and 1,400 education professionals
