Nicolas Maduro and Rafael Ramirez Arrive in Havana

HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 23 (acn) The Executive Vice-president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, and the Vice-president of the Council of Ministers and Minister of the People's Power for Mining and Oil, Rafael Ramirez, arrived on Wednesday night at the capital's Jose Marti International Airport.

In a moving rally on Wednesday in Caracas, which included marches in support of the Bolivarian Revolution, Maduro announced that he would travel to Havana to bring Commander President Hugo Chavez the love and greetings of the people.

Welcoming Maduro and Ramirez were the Vice-president of the Council of Ministers and Foreign Minister Elias Jaua, Attorney General Cilia Flores, the Minister of the Presidency's Office, Admiral Carmen Melendez, and Cuban Foreign Minister and Politburo member Bruno Rodriguez.
