HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 11 (acn) Cuban deputies will meet today in 10 standing working commissions to debate, discuss and look for solutions to problems affecting Cuban people and economy at the Havana´s Conventions Center.
Prior to the fifth ordinary period of the eighth legislature of the Cuban People´s Power Assembly convened for Wednesday, July 15, the lawmakers will study, in the presence of heads of organisms and entities the answers given to the people´s requests in the different sectors.
Strategic and sensitive programs like food production and commercialization of construction materials, housing and the granting of subsidies and bank credits, will be jointly analyzed by the Economic Affairs, Industry, Construction and Energy and Attention to Services commissions,
The latter commission will also assess the work of domestic trade, food services and new management forms, as well as the changes in transportation, the development of local initiatives as a source of income in tourism and the process of providing access to information to the Cuban population.
In the midst of the drought affecting Cuba, the deputies will discuss the problems existing in the hydrological resources management throughout the country.
Though the discussion of the execution of the National budget and economic plan will be discussed during the plenary on Wednesday, the Economic Affairs Commission will tackle the causes of the failures to comply the plans in some activities and design a roadmap to solve problems before the end of the year.
