HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 6 (acn) A Miami-based Club of Ibero-American Artists and Intellectuals plans to coordinate projects aimed at strengthening relations with Cuban artists and creators in an effort to encourage cultural Exchange.
The organization will link with the Cuban Writers and Artists Association (UNEAC) and with other similar entities in Spain, Latin America and the World, which have arts and culture as a means to increase the quality of life of local communities, according to a communiqué by the Miami organization.
The new group aims at receiving and promoting the visits of Cuban artists that live on the island and in other countries.
Born on July 4, the organization is made up of women and men of Latino descent residing in the U.S., who advocate the respect for the sovereignty of the nations and a better relationship between Washington and Latin America.
