Cuba and China to Expand Joint Industrial Projects

Havana, June 3 (acn) Chinese and Cuban industry ministers, MiaoWei and Salvador Pardo favored the expansion of joint projects for the future development of the two nations, according to diplomatic sources.

During a recent meeting in Beijing the two ministers agreed on the important role of the industry to develop bilateral cooperation over the next five years. They also expressed the willingness to keep taking actions to implement the accords stated in the Memo of Cooperation signed in 2014 between the two countries.
MiaoWei stressed that relations with Havana is high priority for China and added that following the visit to Cuba by President Xi Jinping in 2014, the level of economic, commercial and cooperation relations has noticeably increased.
The Cuban Industry minister met a tight agenda in Beijing, which included meetings with local authorities, representatives of financial institutions and companies involved in projects related to the electronics sector, agriculture, manufacture of tools and equipment, and the sugar industry.
