HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 22 (acn) Venezuelan Parliament President Diosdado Cabello paid a visit to Cuba on Saturday, during which he met with former President Fidel Castro, the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
"Dear compatriots, yesterday I went to beautiful Cuba; I had the honor of meeting with Fidel and Raul, revolutionaries that inspire us with their example," wrote Cabello in his Twitter account, the www.cubasi.cu Web site reported on Monday.
Cabello pointed out that Castro is "an extraordinary experience, a living source of wisdom, nobility and everlasting friendship."
According to the Correo del Orinoco newspaper, Cabello and Castro reviewed pending tasks of bilateral and regional interest, while the Noticias 24 network pointed out that the two of them "expressed their satisfaction for the excellent state of bilateral relations and their upward development."
