Raul Receives First Vice-president of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello

HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 21 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, received Diosdado Cabello, President of the National Assembly and First Vice President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), who paid a working visit to the Caribbean island.

In a broad and fruitful exchange, held on Saturday afternoon, Raul and Diosdado Cabello expressed satisfaction at the excellent state of bilateral relations and their upward development. They also discussed issues of mutual interest on the regional and international agendas.
The First Vice President of the PSUV conveyed greetings of President Nicolas Maduro to the Army General and the Cuban people, and expressed his gratitude for the island's firm position in support of the Bolivarian Revolution inspired by late President Hugo Chavez and of the civic-military union of the Venezuelan people.
The meeting was attended by the member of the Political Bureau of the Cuban Communist Party and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez.
