International Meeting Cubagua 2015 Inaugurated in Havana

HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 10 (acn) Ines Maria Chapman, member of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party, member of the Council of State and President of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources called on Tuesday to make the most of Cubagua 2015, an international meeting for the exchange of technical and commercial knowledge on water management.

Chapman inaugurated the meeting, which brings together at Havana's Convention Center some 500 specialists from 24 nations, including of course Cuba.
According to the official, this forum is also part of the will of the Cuban government willingness to achieve best practices in the water management, an aspiration that is present in the National Water Policy adopted by the Council of Ministers in 2012.
Chapman also referred to the exhibition fair also inaugurated on Tuesday as part of the meeting, in which business persons from 73 companies of 14 countries show the latest technologies to improve water quality and treat sewage.
Rafael Feito, president of the Hydraulic Engineering Society of the National Union of Architects and Construction Engineers said that the 12th Congress on Hydraulic Engineering and the 8th International Seminar on the Comprehensive Use of Water, taking place simultaneously, will contribute to join efforts and show the most positive experiences in this field.
Cubagua 2015 winds up on June 13.
