Havana, Cuba, Jun 5 (acn) Experts and officials from over 30 countries are gathering in Havana at an International Conference on Political Communication in the Digital Field.
The forum, organized by the Cuban Foreign Ministry, is taking place at Havana's Convention Center amidst an evaluation process about the past 10 years since the World Information Summit took place.
According to organizers, this conference will favor debates on key global issues, such as the development and use of new information and communication technologies and their impact on international relations.
Participants will also address topics like cyber-security, internet governance and the countries´ technological sovereignty.
Argentina, Angola, Bahamas, China, Ecuador, Panama, Russia, Venezuela, Bolivia, Mexico, and Mozambique are some of the countries represented by official delegations at the conference.
Also participating are renowned personalities from the U.N. Conference on Trade and Development and from the International Telecommunications Union.
