HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 21 (ACN) Nobel Peace Laureate Adolfo Perez Esquivel will travel to Havana to attend the 3rd International Conference for World Balance.

According to Esquivel's press office, he will arrive in Havana January 26 as a member of the Jose Marti World Solidarity Project, to take part at commemorations for the 160 anniversary of the birth of the Cuban National Hero.

The prevalence of Marti's ideas in today's Latin American thinking is translated into the search for ways to recover inter-cultural values to counter the domination tendencies, which first target the cultural area, said the Nobel laureate in Buenos Aires.

Esquivel, who is also the president of Argentina's Peace and Justice service will attend the Conference to take place January 28-30 and will deliver a keynote lecture at the University of Havana on Latin American reality at the invitation of the Cuban University Student Federation (FEU).
