Raul Receives François HollandeHAVANA, Cuba, May 12 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, received the President of the French Republic, François Hollande, who is on an official visit to Cuba.

During the cordial meeting, held at the Palace of the Revolution on Monday afternoon, the two leaders spoke about the positive state of bilateral relations and the wide potential existing to continue developing them in various sectors. They also discussed other issues of interest of the international agenda.
For this historic visit, the first by a French head of state to Cuba, President Hollande was accompanied by a large delegation of government personalities and institutions of the European nation linked to relations with the island.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Jean-Pierre Bell, personal envoy of the President for Latin America and the Caribbean; Jacques Audibert, adviser to the President; and Jean-Marie Bruno, ambassador of France to Havana. Cuba was also represented at the meeting by Ricardo Cabrisas, Vice-resident of the Council of Ministers; Bruno Rodriguez, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, and Hector Igarza, Cuba's ambassador to France.
