HAVANA, Cuba, May 3 (acn) The President of the councils of State and Ministers, Army General Raul Castro, received the Foreign Minister (FM) of Japan, Fumio Kishida, who is on an official visit to Cuba, the first one of a Japanese FM to the island.
During the meeting, held on Saturday, the Cuban president and the distinguished visitor established with satisfaction the positive development of bonds between the two countries and tackled other issues of mutual interest on the international agenda.
The Japanese FM was accompanied by Hiroshi Sato, Japan's ambassador to Havana, while Cuba was also represented at the meeting by Ricardo Cabrisas, Vice-president of the Council of Ministers; Bruno Rodriguez, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Miguel Angel Ramirez, Director for Asia and Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
