Raul Heads May Day Parade in Havana

HAVANA, Cuba, May 1 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC) and President of the Cuban councils of State and Ministers, headed at 7:00 a.m. the opening of the multitudinous parade on the occasion of May Day under way at Havana's Jose Marti Revolution Square.

Raul was accompanied by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, and other leaders of the PCC and the Government in this day to celebrate International Workers Day in the capital's historic area, where the first group to open the march was that of health workers.
