HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 10 (acn) Cuban President Raul Castro met on Friday in the Panamanian capital with United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
In a meeting prior to the inauguration on Friday night of the 7th Summit of the Americas, the interlocutors focused on topics of the global agenda, such as the strengthening of the international organization, disarmament, peace and social development, the Prensa Latina news agency reported.
Ban Ki-moon was accompanied at the meeting by Susana Malcorra, head of the Secretary General's Cabinet; Jeffrey Feltman, undersecretary of the Department of Political Affairs; and Alicia Barcena, executive director of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).
