HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 7 (acn) Cuba's representatives to the parallel forums that will be held as part of the 7th Summit of the Americas reported on Tuesday in Panama City the presence in these forums of mercenaries paid by historic enemies of the Cuban Revolution.
Several of them are even publicly linked to notorious terrorist Luis Posada Carriles, mastermind of the bombing in mid air of a Cubana airliner in 1976 and that has caused so much pain to the Cuban people.
Representing more than four million women that are members of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), Liaena Hernandez read a document on the position of the island's delegation to the Forums of Civil Society, of youth, business and university rectors, which also states that it is offensive that those who "have turned treason to their homeland into a well paid trade and shamefully usurp the name of the country they slander and offend every day" take part in these meetings.
Read in a news conference at the José Dolores Moscote Theater of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Panama, the Declaration of Principles of the Cuban delegation underlines that it is a very small "opposition" fabricated from abroad, "lacking legitimacy and dignity."
Present at the forums and activities to take place parallel to the 7th Summit, a meeting that Cuba will attend for the first time as a result of the solid and unanimous consensus of Latin America and the Caribbean, will be over 100 representatives of Cuban society -social actors, youngsters, intellectuals, farmers, cooperative members, entrepreneurs and academicians.
