Cuba continues with the installation of solar parks

 CABAIGUAN, SANCTI SPICITUS, Cuba, Jun 3 (ACN) Extended working shifts beyond 10 hours and a system of organization of the civil construction work, which make the work faster, distinguish nowadays the investment of the Photovoltaic Solar Park (PSFV by its Spanish acronym) that is being erected in areas near the Arroyo Lajas Popular Camping Site, in this town, and which will contribute 21.8 MegaWatt (MW) to the National Electroenergetic System.

As part of the strategy to conclude the site later this month, the Construction and Assembly Company of Sancti Spiritus (ECMSS by its Spanish acronym), created a large collective with workers from each of the brigades and other departments of the entity, to multiply the pace in the assembly of the 1,638 tables to support the photovoltaic cells, one of the most pressing tasks at present.

About a week ago we started this task, the men are adding skills as the days go by and today the rhythm is close to the optimum to leave ready by the middle of the month the structures on which the solar panels will be placed, Leonel Leon Luis, head of the Construction Base Business Unit number two, of Engineering Works, referred to the Cuban News Agency.

The Arroyo Lajas solar park is expected to be the first of the three that are being built in the province to be synchronized to the National Electroenergy System. Later, the Tuinucu solar park in Taguasco, where civil construction works have begun, will be synchronized to the National Electroenergy System, while the El Meso solar park in Jatibonico is working on the earthworks and the construction of the roads, he added.

When these investments are completed, the province will generate more than 63 MW, which will also contribute to reduce the consumption of fuel for this purpose and the polluting load of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
