Cuban university to hold 5th Scientific Convention

 LAS TUNAS, Cuba, May 19 (ACN) The University of Las Tunas, in this eastern province, is preparing to hold its 5th International Scientific Convention and the 4th edition of the Expo Fair, from May 20 to 22.

Both events will be dedicated to the recycling and packaging industries, as well as to Mexico as a country with which the university maintains systematic exchanges.

Two hundred delegates from different provinces and representatives from Mexico, Chile, France and the Dominican Republic have confirmed their presence at the meeting, and others interested in the event will attend virtually.

According to the 300 papers to be discussed, there are recurring themes with the intention of socializing experiences from the area of knowledge and scientific and technical advances in terms of development and social welfare.

The Expo Fair, to be held at the same University, may be used for exchange and the possibility of making business contacts among the entities.

These meetings are an important part of the agenda conceived by the University of Las Tunas, on the 30th anniversary of its foundation, which includes a history room named after Commander Faure Chomón Mediavilla, a great promoter of higher education in the province.
