HAVANA, Cuba, May 15 (ACN) With a reaffirmation of the deep brotherhood between the two nations and their shared commitment to building a better world, the VI Theoretical Seminar between the Communist Parties of Cuba and Vietnam concluded today in Havana.
After laying a floral wreath at the monument to National Hero José Martí, Nguyen Xuan Thang, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President of the National Theoretical Council, along with Emilio Lozada García, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and head of its International Relations Department, inaugurated the exhibition "Cuba and Vietnam in the Year of Friendship."
The exhibit, featuring 32 photographs, pays tribute to 65 years of uninterrupted relations between the two nations and the proclamation of 2025 as the "Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year."
The event highlighted the deep bonds uniting both parties, governments, and peoples, serving as an example of solidarity that will continue to inspire new generations.
Summarizing the seminar’s discussions, Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo, member of the PCC Secretariat, emphasized that these exchanges reflect how both peoples complement each other in pursuing a common, sovereignly chosen destiny.
Broche Lorenzo stressed that permanent dialogue and close ties fulfill the agreements reached by both nations' highest leaderships, following the path charted by the unforgettable leaders Fidel Castro Ruz and Ho Chi Minh, always based on mutual support and respect.
For his part, Nguyen Xuan Thang delivered a lecture on Vietnam’s current development and how it is addressing internal challenges in pursuit of sustainable growth.
Previous sessions addressed political-ideological work, the Party’s role in combating economic crimes, youth engagement, and the need to deepen the study of Fidel and Ho Chi Minh’s legacies as pillars of the revolutionary project.
