Cuba-El Salvador Relations in Exceptional Moment, Says Sigfrido Reyes

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 20 (acn) The President of the Legislative Assembly of El Salvador, Sigfrido Reyes, highlighted on Friday in this capital that political relations between Cuba and his country are in an exceptional moment, thanks to a large extent to fraternal inter-parliamentary bonds.
While being received by Esteban Lazo, member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party and President of the National Assembly of the People's Power, Reyes commented that the two nations have walked down a very favorable path since the reestablishment of diplomatic relations in 2009.
With respect to his visit to the island, he said that it will be an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship and also of cooperation in sectors such as health, education and culture.
Lazo expressed his satisfaction for receiving his counterpart and his accompanying delegation, and the interest to strengthen commercial and economic bonds.
Reyes expressed his country's support for the lifting of the blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States and for the removal of the island from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism.
He traveled to Cuba accompanied by Salvadoran deputies Guillermo Gallegos, Santiago Flores, Reynaldo Cardoza and Rafael Machuca.
