The Indian diplomat was briefed on the local characteristics and strength of the province by the Governor of the central region Alexis Lorente.

The history, traditions and culture distinguishing the province of Sancti Spiritus are joined by the achievements in healthcare, agriculture, and tourism, particularly the modalities of sun-and-beach and nature tourism, said the governor.

The Indian diplomat expressed interest in promoting university exchange and the possibility to produce in India some Cuba-registered pharmaceuticals. He said this is the right moment to expand relations between the two nations.
