Cuba and Russia are organizing school of nuclear methods

 HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 17 (ACN) Cubans and Russians are organizing the International School of Nuclear Methods and Applied Research in Environmental, Materials and Life Sciences (NUMAR-2025), to be held in Havana from Feb. 24 to 27.

One of its sponsors is the Agency for Nuclear Energy and Advanced Technologies (AENTA) and the other one is the Unified Institute of Nuclear Research of Dubna, Russia, its Management Committee told the Cuban News Agency.

It added that, with headquarters in the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, its objective is to train and strengthen scientific cooperation between both centers in the research and development of nuclear sciences and the study of the fundamental properties of matter.

It also indicated that young people from Latin America and the Caribbean will also participate, including graduates and post-graduates from Cuban university groups.

The Dubna Unified Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) is an intergovernmental organization known worldwide for its contribution to physics.

It has established cooperation with about 1000 research centers and universities and annually organizes more than 40 international conferences and meetings, and publishes about 1500 specialized articles and reports a year.

AENTA manages the programs of nuclear, laser, optical and ultrasonic application technologies for the production and generalization of goods and services, automation of technological processes, renewable energy sources and energy efficiency.
