Head of the Cuban Parliament visits country's institutions

HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 7 (ACN) Esteban Lazo Hernandez, President of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State, toured today sites of social and economic interest in the central province of Cienfuegos.

On X, the Parliament informed that the legislative head began his tour in the municipality of Aguada de Pasajeros where he exchanged with Yolexis Rodriguez, president of the Municipal Assembly, about the attention to the population's concerns.

In that territory, Lazo Hernandez held talks with representatives of the Managuaco Popular Council, accompanied by Marta Hernandez Romero, coordinator of the Permanent Working Commissions.

The president of the Cuban parliament visited areas of the Antonio Sanchez sugar mill, where he insisted on the strategic importance of strengthening sugar production and talked with its workers.

Aguada de Pasajeros is the westernmost municipality of Cienfuegos province and covers an area of 680.23 square kilometers.
