Raul Returns to Cuba after Visit to Uruguay

Raul Returns to Cuba after Visit to UruguayHAVANA, Cuba, Mar 3 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, returned to Cuba on Tuesday after a three-day visit to Uruguay, where he took part in the inauguration of President Tabare Vazquez, who assumed this responsibility for the second time as representative of Frente Amplio.
Upon his arrival to Havana's Jose Marti International Airport, Raul was received by Politburo members Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Vice-president of the councils of State and Ministers; and Abelardo Colome, Minister of the Interior.
During his stay in the South American country, the Cuban President met with Tabare Vazquez; former president Jose Mujica and his wife, Senator Lucia Topolanski; Eduardo Lorier, general secretary of the Communist Party of Uruguay, and other members of that political organization. He was given the Key to the City of Montevideo, an honor that the capital's city council also granted to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro in 1995.
This visit, the first one Raul pays to the country of Jose Gervasio Artigas, made it possible to verify the excellent relations uniting the two nations and contributed to strengthen even more their bonds of fraternity, since like the Army General said: "we love Uruguay very deeply."
