Investment Projects Benefit Education Sector in Eastern Cuba

 Havana, Jan 13 (ACN) In tune with the allocation of a large part of the country’s budget to the education sector, three major repair and maintenance projects benefit local education centers in eastern Las Tunas province.

In statements to the Cuban News Agency, Education vice-director in the province Juan Miguel Barrios said that the investment projects which started last year include the construction of a daycare center, a community elementary school and areas for physical education at a preuniversity school.
Last year, the ongoing investment actions helped refurbish or give maintenance several education facilities, including others which were in bad shape.

The works have been backed by local government and political authorities, the official said and added that although there is still a long way to go, they base actions on the real demands of over 600 education institutions in the province. Lc
