In a statement published on the Cuban Communist Party webpage the two organizations said that ahead of the presidential inauguration in Venezuela on January 10th, the “Imperial lackey” Edmundo Gonzalez kicked off a tour on “our America”, where he was welcomed by some right-wing heads of state. It’s a shame to see the repletion of the former Guaido 2.0 agenda, which inflicted so much pain to the Venezuelan people. That agenda was defeated by the people of Venezuela at a high cost which included the theft of part of the country’s patrimony, the statement reads.
The enemies of the Great Homeland, old western imperialism, intend to use Edmundo Gonzalez’ tour to cast a shadow on what should be a date to celebrate in Venezuela and the continent and to open the doors. It also aims at boosting sanction-based agendas and violent destabilization to retake control of the resources of Venezuela.
The statement calls on all revolutionary and progressive forces of the world to defend the Bolivarian Revolution, its conquests and its people.
