HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 27 (acn) In a meeting presided over by Army General Raul Castro, the members of the Council of Ministers met on Thursday to tackle several issues related to the updating of the country’s social and economic model.
On this occasion, two policies were approved: one related to the allocation of financial resources for writers and artists to undertake cultural projects, and another one related to the simplification and integration of services and procedures given to individuals and legal entities.
Likewise, green light was given to the perfecting of the Railroad System and to the process of reorganization of entities of science, technology and innovation. Also presented were plans of continuity of studies for ninth grade graduates and the entry to Higher Education.
The meeting’s agenda also included an analysis on the export of services.
