Raul Meets with Kofi Annan

HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 27 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, received Kofi Annan, former Secretary General of the United Nations and President of the Foundation named after him, who is on a visit to Cuba.
During the cordial meeting, held on Friday afternoon, issues on the international agenda were tackled, particularly the peace process of Colombia. Kofi Annan expressed his acknowledgement of the role of Cuba as venue and guarantor of talks held in Havana. Raul reiterated that Cuba will continue contributing in every aspect possible to the achievement of the end of the conflict and of peace in that fraternal nation.
Also participating in the meeting was Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, who had previously met with the ex U.N. Secretary General.
