Cuba hosts Model United Nations conference

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 1 (ACN) The University of Havana announced the beginning of the sessions of its Model United Nations (HAVMUN), an annual academic event that resembles the debates of the world body.

The central theme of the meeting will be “Technology, Environment and Development”, closely aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Featured in the program are a historic session on Tuesday and an organic one by commissions on Wednesday, followed by the crisis plenary on Thursday and the closing session on Friday.

HAVMUN is a unique space where students can discuss key international issues ranging from human rights to economic development and international security.
