MATANZAS, Cuba, Sep 25 (ACN) Vicente Alejandro Ortega Cedillo, a professor with the Autonomous University of Mexico, is scheduled to present a lecture today, titled Why site museums are important, to the 8th Scientific Conference “Museology and Society” held in this city.
Isabel Hernandez Campos, president of the scientific commission of the conference, praised Professor Ortega’s willingness to participate in this event that he was resolved to attend.
Also featured in the program is a panel on the systematization of academic experiences in the development of heritage interpretation skills, as well as debates in commissions about intangible and documentary heritage and the creation and study of collections, among other topics.
The VIII Scientific Conference “Museology and Society” gathers a hundred speakers from all Cuban provinces bent on sharing views and gain new knowledge.
