Cuba: Venue of Intl. Forum on Sustainable Development

HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 19 (acn) Cuba will be the venue of the 4th International Seminar on Tourism, Development and Sustainability, a meeting that will bring together researchers from around the world to coordinate actions and share and spread the best experiences on this issue.

The University of Havana will organize the meeting, to be held on September 21-23, in which topics related to alternative and sustainable tourism as key strategy for local development, the contribution of academic institutions, and the role of planning and management, will be tackled.
In addition to scientific sessions at Havana's Convention Center, the meeting will include excursions to Viñales Valley and the Community of Las Terrazas, at Sierra del Rosario, in western Pinar del Rio province, the specialized portal Caribbean News Digital reported.
Cuba will also host, on September 22-27, the International meeting on Nature Tourism, Turnat 2015, a meeting aimed at positining Cuba as an attractive tourist destination for this type of activity.
