Experts to discuss development of the Cuban Revolution

HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 10 (ACN) A panel of experts will discuss economic, social, political, ideological and cultural issues and present their views about the Cuban Revolution on its 65th anniversary, its prospects and challenges to the Economic Society of Friends of the Country (SEAP).

Their starting point will be the Conceptualization of the Cuban economic and social model of socialist development and the Guidelines of the economic and social policy of the Party and the Revolution for 2021-2026, approved by the 8th Congress of the Party.

The panel will also address topics related to power and political system in the Cuban socialist transition and the development of participatory democracy and its current imperatives. Likewise, they will issue a call for a second session on Cuba’s reintegration into the world economy and the multipolar and multi-centered International System of States that is taking shape as a result of the decline of today’s unipolar world.

Events of this kind are part of the conference “Fidel, ardent prophet of the dawn”, designed to celebrate his birth on August 13, 2021 and named after a poem written by Ernesto Che Guevara shortly before leaving for Cuba on board the historic yacht Granma as a member of the expeditionary force that departed from Tuxpan, Mexico, on November 25, 1956. Guevara titled his work Rapsodia a Fidel—long known as Canto a Fidel (Song to Fidel)—which reveals the author’s prompt identification with and knowledge about the Cuban cause and its history, as well as his admiration for and trust in the Commander-in-Chief.

In its first paragraph, the text says: “Let's go, ardent prophet of the dawn, through hidden wireless paths to liberate the green caiman you love so much”.
