Lazo Meets with President of House of Representatives of Trinidad & TobagoHAVANA, Cuba, Feb 12 (acn) Esteban Lazo, member of the Politburo and President of the National Assembly of the People's Power (ANPP), highlighted on Thursday in this capital the importance of inter-parliamentary relations in the strengthening of Latin American integration.
In a meeting with Wade Mark, President of the House of Representatives of Trinidad and Tobago and the delegation accompanying him on his trip to the island, Lazo expressed his country's willingness to strengthen these bonds in the region even more.
Wade Mark expressed his satisfaction for being in Cuba and for being able to verify the key role the Parliament is playing from the legislative point of view in economic changes.
He also proposed the signing of a memorandum by way of which a work schedule in priority areas for the two governments, like health, education and investment, is established along with the ANPP.
Mark traveled to Cuba accompanied by Rodger Dominic, Minister of National Diversity and Social Integration; Kwasi Mutema, Minister of State in the Ministry of Labor and Infrastructure; Lester Henry, Senator of the opposition; and Bernanrd Caesar, Parliament Marshall.
