HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 3 (ACN) Cuba’s deputy minister of Industry, Ernesto Cedeño Rodríguez, announced that Havana will host on June 17 to 21 the 4th International Convention and Exhibition of Cuban Industry, a sector with cross-sectional effects on the national economy.
In statements to the press, the official stressed that the conference is bound to gather businesspeople and specialists from Bolivia, Colombia, Panama, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago, Russia, Belarus, and Türkiye, among other countries.
“The expected number of entrepreneurs, scientists, technologists and innovators should be larger than in the first event held in 2014,” he added. “Likewise, this year we will have state and non-state MSMEs, as well as discussions about the introduction of the circular economy and the so-called Industry 4.0, which seeks to turn enterprises into smart organizations. (…) A major goal of the Convention is to promote Cuban goods and services, negotiations, exports, contracts that favor the interested parties, and foreign investment.”
