HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 12 (ACN) The journal Anales de la Academia de Ciencias de Cuba (ACC) has just been included in the Scopus database, one of the largest platforms for abstracts and peer-reviewed scientific literature references.
It is with tremendous pride and motivation that we have received the official communication that our publication has been accepted by Scopus, announced PhD Luis Velazquez Perez Perez, President of the institution.
In less than six years, our journal has been indexed in databases of high international prestige, he added, referring to the orderly registration of records and information to prepare its index.
He indicated that the effort and quality of the scientific publications have facilitated this current positioning, with which we intend to raise the visibility of science of excellence, which is developed in our country and in other latitudes of the world.
Anales was founded in 1864, only three years before the creation of the Royal Academy of Medical, Physical and Natural Sciences of Havana on May 19, 1861, after waiting 40 years for the approval of the Spanish crown.
