HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 27 (ACN) The 15th International Workshop on Emancipatory Paradigms in Latin America and the Caribbean kicks off today in person and virtually at Pabellon Cuba, headquarters of the Hermanos Saíz Association, in Havana.
Under the sponsorship of the Latin American Group for Social Philosophy and Axiology (GALFISA by its Spanish acronym), of the Institute of Philosophy, and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Center, the sessions will last until next Thursday.
The organizers of the meeting had invited popular groups, networks and social movements, academics, educators and interested people to participate in its deliberations.
Basically, the invitation consists in dialoguing, reflecting and sharing the conditions of possibility of revolutionary politics in urgent times.
The topics of its workshops are related to: Regional geopolitical scenario, Wars and global risks to human and planetary life, Crisis of capital and emancipatory alternatives and Organization of the popular social movement and social and political alternative.
The Institute of Philosophy is one of the centers of the Agency of Social and Humanistic Sciences of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment.
In turn, the Martin Luther King Memorial Center is a macroecumenical organization of Christian inspiration, which from the Cuban people and its churches contributes prophetically to solidarity and popular participation, conscious, organized and critical, committed to a socialist option.
